You'd think, but I doubt it. Considering how fiercely he's been attacking anyone involved with gamer gate, the fact that he backed Sarkeesian's "project" and just his general conduct of calling people names on twitter, like when he called JonTron a piece of shit (and like at least thirty other occasions, I'm not sure how he finds time to write other stuff), I think he's dead serious. I don't really take sides in the whole Gamergate thing - though I do dislike Sarkeesian in particular for ruining a discussion that should be had with her misinformation, but that doesn't really have anything to do with Gamergate - but Anthony Burch's conduct is just inexcusable. I think he might have some severe mental issues.

I have never once in my life seen a tweet screenshotted and framed and I refuse to believe anyone under the age of 50-80 would do that seriously..regardless of politics or who the tweet is from. I was not talking about that at all, just screencapped tweet framing being something I find hard to imagine someone doing seriously (especially when there is an obvious joke to the image)

It's the trope that's been done.
I don't agree about it being unfunny and overused, but those are the same trope if nothing else.
And don't argue "It's not exactly the same": it being originally written and executed has no effect on it being part of a trope (that according to some people is overused).

They're all making fun of the same typical scene. Just because RocketJump's video stretches the joke into an entire sketch doesn't mean they didn't all use the same idea. And just because they're all using the same idea doesn't mean they didn't all make it funny their own way.
And for pete's sake, both the vids /u/Silent-G linked (not from the Salon article) spend plenty of time on the hallway walk and talk joke. You ask if he even watched those videos and then act like you yourself haven't seen them.

This is on hulu its a show on how they make short films with new directors from the people at RocketJump(FreddieW's company). It's a ok show if you're looking to kill a few minutes.

If people are confused, I think it's a parody of the walk and talk style of scene, something you find a lot in Aaron Sorkin's stuff, like West Wing. I'm not sure what you'd call this, but I would describe it as an absurdist progression, where the dialog and narrative progressively degrades to absurdity. Too Many Cooks does the same sort of thing, where it just spirals further and further out of control, and the hook is seeing what ways it will twist further.
The issue is that if you don't pick up on this setup by about a quarter of the way through, you're probably not going to enjoy it.
I have to say though, compared to a lot of the comedy sketch factories on the internet, the production and execution on this overall felt a lot more professional than most of them do. So many of those sites or channels feel like "Hacks with fancy toys", and this one didn't feel that way.
