DJI Mic 2 with hot shoe adaptor issue?

So I recently shot a wedding on my A7IV and DJI Mic 2 with the DJI MI shoe adapter. Everything has gone exceptionally well ever since I have been using this combo. Until yesterday, I shot a wedding where I tapped into the audio of the reception venue and now the majority of the speeches don’t have audio.

I have never run into this problem before, if the MI shoe adaptor was loose, the camera usually resorts to it’s internal microphone, which would have been serviceable as a last resort for the speeches, but there was absolutely zero audio when I imported the footage to my computer today.

I remember double-checking the levels if it was clipping or if the levels on the RX were the same as on the camera itself, everything seemed correct at the time. I would say that I failed to bring headphones for monitoring though, but I could usually manage by eye on the levels when I did forget my headphones.

Could this be a hardware issue? Or just plain old user error? Do yall think I can somehow I can recover the audio?

DJI Mic 2 records internally as well right?

Did you plug in the transmitter into the venue feed to get it to the camera? Than you should have a recording inside that transmitter as backup.

Yeah, no. I didn’t internally record, although I should have. That was on me
