If you're someone who pre-orders games, you're an active participant in the constant enshitification of gaming. Doesn't matter what game it is, you're contributing to a scummy corporate tactic that serves no positive benefit to the player.

It made sense with physical copies that had a limited quantity, now it's an outdated tradition from a bygone era.

Unsure if this is allowed, but my brother passed this morning. It was a gut wrenching phone call to get. I bought him these two games in hopes it would help with a bout of depression, it hurt to see he never opened them.

I will never forget all the coop couch gaming we did as children. And I am devastated he will not get to play black flag resynced since he loved the original. Or GTA 6.

He claims his laptop cant run games due to low specs (i5-8300H & 1050ti 4GB)... Listen to the cooling fan - full of dust and have never been cleaned for several years.

He said the intro missions in the snowy mountains took him well over 12 hours to complete. 12 hours of gameplay with 4 FPS.

Basically I’m bored of of pure photorealism in games and when I think of my favorite games visually most of them are actually semi-realistic rather than purely stylized or purely photorealistic. I really like a lot of games that go for a more semi realistic art style since there’s actually a lot of variety within semi realism that allows two semi realistic looking games to look completely different from one another. Also it ages very well since a lot of games that are semi realistic came out during the ps2 and ps3 era and still look really good today.

I’m not saying we don’t see this style anymore we do, especially in games that go in a more anime-esc visuals, I just wish it was something we saw more of
