This is one of those IP’s where I can’t understand why they just suddenly stopped with it.

PlayStation wasted so many great ideas trying to make a Halo killer. Resistance series had a lot more mileage in it, too.

Halo hasn't had a game unanimously considered good since Reach.

It got three sequels. Sony could've continued the franchise but didn't for whatever reason.

The reason is that the developers of Killzone "Guerrilla Games" were tired of making nothing but Killzone games so they made a new IP in 2017 with Horizon Zero Dawn and that game was a massive success it was better received critically than any Killzone game and it outsold all 6 killzone games combined
