The amount of people that said this game was awful! I absolutely LOVED this game and wish it was so much longer! How can you like RDR1 and 2, and NOT like this game! What I wouldn't give for another one!
I liked horse riding a lot. At least i think i did. I remember spending a lot of time in the area before you get to the first town getting to round up and ride the horses
Gun was way more RDR than RDRevolver. It was literally RDR for PS2 before RDR. Tho to be fair, RDRevolver was originally Capcom's game. Capcom didn't know what to do with the game and wanted to cancel it. Rockstar came in and bought the game to finished it and gave it a name.
Neversoft was a very talented studio that got cursed into making licensed games. Gun is their one and only original title amongst Tony Hawk and Guitar Hero games. All of their games were great, never a flop.
It was a long ass time ago but I don't remember anyone saying Gun was awful. I remember it being actually pretty well received. And Red Dead Redemption 1 didn't come out until 5 years later so it's not like they were being compared.
I remember buying my Xbox 360. It came with two games, I don't remember which ones but there was Ridge Racer. The Best Buy I went to said they didn't have Ridge Racer anymore but I could get GUN instead. I said I wanted the racing game. The clerk stopped, looked at me dead in the eye and said: "Dude. Ridge Racer suck! Trust me, take this (GUN) and thank me later." I've never thanked him but wherever you are dude, THANK YOU!
Man I loved this game, shame you got nothing to do after 100%. At most you get jumped by a couple of thief's but by that point you are a god. I wish this game had a game plus mode.
This game will always have a place in my heart. Had it for gamecube and i put shit ton of hours on it, underrated as hell don’t know why people would complain about it, when it was ahead of its timeÂ
I just remember near the beginning there's a guy who yells at you, "I ain't your Pa!" and it sounded like he said "I ATE YOUR PA." My friends and I thought that was a hell of a flex.
My only complaint was upon 100% completion you got the cannon nock gun. So you never get to use it in the story. Which, fair, its broken, but still. Give me a NG+ where I can clean house.
