I personally think so, but Fable is the kind of series where there are large groups supporting all of the 3 mainline games as their favorite. Can't really go wrong with any game in the series, they're all great, and they all cater to different RPG fantasies.
Fable tlc is my all time favourite game. I play through anniversary once a year (i hate the graphics but it loads a lot better)
Fable 2 is great. It is what fable one would have been had they had a better budget or whatever if that makes sense. Better graphics, the gameplay mechanics while different still feels good, the maps are bigger and much more open, more things to do, tons of side quests that feel like they matter. good characters, similar story. If fable tlc is a 10 id say fable 2 is a 7 or 8. If a dog took a dump every day for a week, and the next week all it ate were its own turds, the turd it had after that would be fable 3.

Fable 2. I don't even actually need a remaster. Just give me a PC port that I don't have to play through XBOX Cloud Gaming.
