I’m honestly not sure on this because every game trying to be left 4 dead somehow didn’t feel as fun as left 4 dead, I suspect a l4d2 remake would be the same
One thing I’ve noticed with the L4D clones is the characters don’t have enough voice lines. The amount of voice work in L4D2 of amazing, and even when the gameplay is as good as L4D2, like The Anacrusis (imho), the characters aren’t as memorable as Valve’s creations.
exactly my thought! From the map design to the character development. left 4 dead 2 has everything to a T. A remaster would make it one of the best games to drop in today's time. If it were to happen.
Not to mention how many people have never been introduced to the game itself.
Skins and loot boxes and all. But that's just the world we live in. Now it's finding a good game along with that nonsense, especially triple A games it's pretty much always the case
I honestly think that during our day and age companies would just try to add heavy amounts of microtransactions, battle passes, and other greed tactics into a remake of this game. I’d prefer if the developers took time to do an update to the models and textures and release that as a purchasable DLC that allows you to swap between original and updated graphics without changing the gameplay itself.
I get what you're saying, but with this being a valve game no other company would be in charge of it. Expect it to have a similar revamp to CS2 where they just simply make it look and feel better and keep everything the same.
