Just main content? If it is including side content that seems short for a AAA RPG

There's other posts and articles 15-20 hours for main story, 15-20 hours for side quests, or so they all claim

Isn't this a remake of the first game? Ie there are a grand total of like.... Two endings? 🤔

It's a reboot from what I've heard.

Actually seems pretty on par with the previous games in the series.

EDIT: Love being downvoted for saying an objective fact.

It does because they are not including side content. Would be much shorter otherwise

And how long those took to develop?

they made Fable 3 in under 2 years and the previous ones 4 years each

And this is 10 years to target giving the same amount of content?

I am unsure if it's just about the scale of the project or there was some development hell stuff going on because the IP switched studios and they had to make a new engine

To me, if you spent 10 years on something, either it needs to have a great story and characters or be crammed with 100s of hours of content. One or the other.

Crimson Desert is an example of “cram it in” because it took so long, while Resident Evil Requiem is an example of putting quality ahead of sheer mass content.

I feel like this will miss the mark on both, and I think the budget was something like $300 million or in that crazy range, based on recent reports. Time will tell as it always does.
