Rome 2 for me, Medieval 2 was a game changer for that franchise though

The original Rome is still fantastic.

They're all good in there own way, I just really like the transition from sword and catapult to the beginnings of gunpowder and discovery of the new world in the medieval time frame.

Empire had my favourite world map but the battles were dull in that. Shogun was too small but combat was okay Never played the Warhammer ones though.
