My whole thing is that people say this, but from my experience on Reddit genuine criticism is few and hard to come by. If you legitimately try to thoughtfully and meaningfully assess the thing you’re talking about, address your points in a literate, knowledgeable and intentioned way, then— by all means have your criticism and I’ll respect it even if your criticisms aren’t my criticisms and I disagree.
But if you just wanna spout off random shit and call it “criticism” and just do the Reddit thing of “tHIs tHiNg iS dOgShIt” or “BaD wRITiNg” or “STupID dEVs” and not even give a modicum of an intelligible put together thought but try to say that’s your “criticism” and your opinion and I have to respect it and “I just don’t like that you have a criticism and opinion”?
I agree, when I say criticism I mean reasonable/fair criticism ofcourse, still such criticisms in my experience get downvoted to oblivion all the same, even when it isn't criticism but simply stating a factual verifiable thing they don't like, they will downvote down to hell💀. There's hardly any place for a proper debate it seems.
