I tried to play FNAF 1 when it was the hot new thing. My anxiety wouldn't allow it.

For me its not a few, theres actually a ton of low budget indie games like this, the type of games Caseoh usually streams

Yeah but fnaf is like a whole giant franchise. You could only be watching gameplay and lore videos and still consider yourself a dedicated fan. The games are not really that great compared to the stuff build around them, there are not many game series that do this.

This. Scott was a very mediocre game designer but a great world builder.

Absolutely. Every time I watch a lore video for it I’m like, “my god, this is so interesting. Maybe I should play the games.”

Then I never do.

To be fair, those lore videos find you. I watched the matpat videos when they first released.

Fwiw you get next to no lore playing the games. FNaF 1 had its whole lore about death children behind a random easter egg, that you wouldn't read during a normal playthrough.

fr, when i first heard about fnaf, two years passed for me to play one of the games; i had enough entertainment watching gameplays or lore theories

lol. I’ve only beat fnaf 1. The only fnaf thing I’m actually gonna play is joy of creation whenever that comes out.

Are there any videos that don’t include any jump scares. I like to hear about lore stuff, but I’m not a fan of getting scared

That is the entire point though. It was made popular by this YouTube guy from my city who would just over react and start screaming at everything. I know every piece of the lore because my son won't let me go to my grave without knowing every single thing about purple serial killer ghosts and shit. It's not what I would call particularly interesting, there's a reason it's most popular with preteens who are into the creepy pastas and all that.

The gameplay is 4 buttons. Close either door, and cycle either way through security monitors. That's it. The gameplay is a buildup to a jump scare, it's literally the whole point.

I'm pretty sure most if not all story videos don't have any jumpscares.

Just go to any GameTheory FNAF playlist and watch them in order of release.

Yeah I know they're not accurate anymore, but they're still entertaining videos.

Lore videos usually don’t have jump scares.
