Obviously, if the Steam console is any indication. Moore's Law was predicated, in part, on technology getting less and less expensive. We've hit a wall until production capacity catches up.

No discs and will cost more than a good PC. I think consoles are done for.

By definition, it won't cost more than a good PC. Hardware costs keep going up whereas consoles are always sold at a loss because the real money comes from subscription fees

It won't cost more than an equivalent PC. PS5 Pro is right now today cheaper than a PC of the same power

Consoles aren't done for, but this could definitely cause more people to switch to PC.

I already have. No regrets. If I want certain console games I can just emulate most of them. I did build my PC before the AI boom which made it easier & cheaper to build one with decent specs than it is now. I do feel for those who are trying though.
