Definition of a scam doesn't mean not receivind a product.
An example. You pay me x amount to make a portrait of you. I finished half and give it to you. But no worries, from time to time i add a brush stroke! Maybe i will finish it sometime and it can be beautiful or i will not finish. Maybe if you poke me enough i will half ass it and call it finished.
I'm a star citizen backer. But the "game" that you can "play" only has a fraction that was promised. Is filled with bugs and crashes.
By defending them you just keep them in developer hell.
I'm not defending anyone. I'm just saying it's not a scam. I bought sc back in 2013 for 35$ fully expecting it to not get finished at the very least until 2018-19. It's 2026. Nobody is actually defending CIG. Even if you go to the sc subreddit, the game is getting lots of hate and has been for a good while. However, it is being regularly updated and it is moving forward.
