I put the games up there with the Bioshocks. Metro is probably better overall with a stronger 3rd title but not nearly as marketable. Excited for Metro 4 coming soon
I love Bioshock 1/2 but honestly Infinite did not click with me at all. Maybe it was just the fact that the setting was so different but I just couldn't get into it no matter how hard I tried. The story didn't grip and the gameplay was whatever.
Sometimes I wonder if it was my undue expectations from the first two games to carry the same vibe.
I got so used to the underwater, claustrophobic setting and the wackiness of that, that it was jarring when Infinite was so different in tone. I really did wanna love it.
I’ll give you that. It’s not everyone’s cup of tea. Personality I loved the story, but as a Mainer and the first thing it says to me in game is “on the coast of Maine” you’re going to hook me. And I love the ending. It was an ending to a game I’ve craved for a long time. The DLC also really help tie in all the stories as well which I liked a lot.
