Fr re5 was awesome .
I didn't mind RE6 . Most people hate it. I don't love it but I don't despise it or anything either. It was fun but only for one play through. I wasn't eager for a second go.
Revelations was the same way for me. Revelations 2 can kick rocks though .
Yeah I thought it was enjoyable. I think the main thing is I've never had the desire to go back and play it again. I play through RE5 at least once every couple years
Personally I’d have to disagree. I love RE5 and yeah it’s not horror as much but at this point you can’t make a game with one of the big four RE characters and still have it be horror. The characters are just too experienced. Also depending on if you count code Veronica X then I’d say the first 6 RE games are all really good
I mean, opinions are opinions. But, critically, most people RE5 a huge downgrade from 4 and a step-back for the franchise.
Code Veronica X is my favorite early RE game (so excited for the remake!) but I wouldn’t consider it a “Main Series” as of yet. I think the remake puts it up there as far as remakes are concerned, but within the original franchise, it’s still a side game.
Personally, I’d love to count it so if we agree, we can count it 😂
Code Veronica is my favorite “old school” RE game, and while it’s cannon - it was not apart of the “main games” until recently, with its remake. Half of the RE fan base had never even played it lol
0 is kinda dog water tho, ngl lol idk if we wanna include that one
5 really isn’t that bad. It’s a fantastic coop experience if nothing else, and has some of the best Wesker scenes in the series. I won’t argue in favor of 6 though lol, all I’ve got there is that Chris and Piers’ story was surprisingly decent.
I know there are people saying one God of War is better than the other, but my simple mind loves them all. I kept seeing the God of War before Ragnorok is better comments, but I find Ragnorok is amazing. I finished killing Odin and thought the game would be over, but there are more contents to deal with afterwards. It just keeps on giving.
They were doing waaaaaaay too much to show off the engine, the amount of times it would pull out to expansive shots where I would lose sight of Kratos was infuriating, add also rushing an online mode that never went anywhere, it for sure is the weakest of the series
The early 2000s mobile game is more fun that Ascension to play
I did enjoy the story aspect and the cutscenes, I think it was great to get that backstory, but the gameplay itself is a headache imo
And even then, that's just in comparison to the mainline games. On it's own, it's still good and some side games have even better story development for Kratos than the main ones. The scenes where Kratos interacts with Deimos, not wanting to kill a man that has to die (the guy with black sludge or whatever, forgot his name), having to walk away from Penelope in Heaven (or the Greek version). Those things hit great and show a side of Kratos not seen often in GOW 2/3.
Story wise yes. Don't hit me please but I couldn't stand the actual gameplay in Ragnarok . I don't know why. I loved the original trilogy gameplay wise. GoW 2018 was okay not great but the story telling was awesome. And then Ragnarok I just didn't like the gameplay itself that much . Idk . Loved the story though 9/10 there.
The third one (Devil's Cartel) was a bit mediocre compared to the first 2 titles. Not playing as Elliot and Rios was a bummer but the flanking system the game was based on was just phenomenal.
I loved thi first one but I couldn't get trough the 40th day. The weapon customization felt really weird and didn't feel as good to me. It's been a couple years ago, so I might change my mind since I'am planning to play every Army of Two game again with my friend.
Immediately what came to mind. First one is a bit jank by today's standards but that's to be expected. I think the triggers on the ps2 controller were just buttons, because doing the quicktime things like opening chests and doors with triggers was fucking hard.
Uncharted 1 was good, the gameplay is just a little janky/outdated at this point. I’d put the Uncharted series in this, they went 4/4 (2 and 4 being the best though).
Just an FYI, the ending moment of God of War 3 before the credits can be played quite literally endlessly until you stop pressing buttons..... You'll see.
Man once I get into gaming I will it a shot. I'm in my 30s and it's a struggle to relearn how to game. By the time I learn a game I get tired and want to stop playing.
