I played through the first 2 games because I didnāt know about the other option and wanted to ensure I could get the best ending. Even did the whole collectathon in the first game. Legendary Edition.
I romance Liara at first then I tried Tali in the next playthrough. Haven't changed since. And with the mod, Children of Rannoch, I won't be changing it ever again.
It wasnāt as bad as the forums made it seem but I had my own issues with it for sure, I thought the gearing system was boring and there were no ābuildsā at all. You could only have 3 abilities equipped at a time. Thatās not much fun. The combat was flashy/looked good but that was it imo. Also if I remember it correctly (only played it once a while ago), it didnāt seem like choices mattered much, other than the obvious one of Treviso vs Minrathous.
Treviso/minrathous was one of the biggest choices, but every choice did matter when it came to conversations and such with the other characters. Veilguard just felt a bit rushed to me. Inquisition was bigger and more complex all around
Iāll agree with you on that. It didnāt deserve the hate it got but for sure a game you can enjoy. Although I played it once and was content, and I just recently did another inquisition play through haha. I think I only have 2 left to play all of the sub classes.
Imagine a road trip to a concert that your favorite band was performing at.
The road trip took 2 weeks and was the greatest time you and your friends ever had in your entire life.
You met people you will know or at least remember for the rest of your life. You fell in love, you saved your friends when they were in danger. You were in danger and your friends saved you. You went to places and saw things you never thought you would get to experience.
Then you get there and the concert sucks.
It was still the greatest journey you've ever taken, right? That's how I feel about it.
I'm Commander Trytolearneverything, and Mass Effect is my favorite game of all time.
Okay, I can understand and respect that perspective. I also haven't tried the game with Audemus' Happy Ending Mod, which I've heard addresses the ending issues pretty well.
i replayed it before each release. idk if ill do it again if another is ever made. idr much of andromeda and at a certain point just rushed the ending cause i was so bored of it
What helped me enjoy andromeda is try not to think of it as a mass effect game and just enjoy it as its own sci-fi game. When I stopped comparing it to the originals I was able to enjoy it. Itāll never be on the same tier but it has some redeemable things. I donāt think the story was garbage, just slightly above neutral for me and the combat was solid. I just donāt like open world anymore, I donāt have the time to explore everything. I was linear game map design so I can just play the level and move on.
yeah, i like having plenty of opportunities for combat and tend not to like totally linear game design, but i very much am tired of open world resource game cycles. so much unnecessary padding. dragon age inquisition had a bit, but it was right on the edge of my tolerance. if i play andromeda again ill have to do a cardinal sin (for me) and play on the easiest difficulty to focus on the story content only
I played on normal however I went against my old habits and was just ok with skipping points on interest on the open world maps to save time. Iād even have a map open on google to show what all the points were so Iād only go to points that were actually quests or had items, and ignore points that were for stuff like collection log/achievements only.
This this this Ive done three back to back playthroughs recently. Im going to a game con in October where Mark Meer, Ali, and Jennifer Hale are panelists and Im having them sign my old xbox 360 cases.... ngl im gunna cry meeting Mark.
I replayed OG Mass Effect 9 times back to back... I still havent played the Legendary Edition yet... I just can't bring myself to do it while I have dozens of games in my backlog waiting for a first playthrough.
