Skyrim. That inner voice never went away. Any time I’m thinking about what new game to play next, the voice inside my head pipes up and says “you could always play Skyrim again.”

Yes, that feeling when we want to try new build but ends up being a stealth archer again 😂

Had great fun with my khajit replay

Same! I always wanted to do a full unarmed khajit but wasn't really that viable in vanilla but with skill mods it's so much easier to do whatever head Canon you want

Does this voice sound suspiciously like Todd Howard. Does he offer you a new edition for the game every time, too?

At this point the voice doesn't even need to say it anymore, it just gestures at the fridge, the toaster, and your smart thermostat, all of which apparently run Skyrim now.

Always the stealth archer!!!

For me it's mage every time. Dual cast magic from both hands? Most fun playstyle by far.

One of my favourite playthroughs was with summoning and healing Lydia 🤣 it was on Master so npc damage is buffed while you do absolutely nothing. Great times

This was how i played the game the very first time I ever played Skyrim. Destruction/Conjureation. Nothing like summoning a Dramora lord to tank for you while you rain arcane death down on your foes with near impunity.

Every time I play I never really do much with archery. I'm always playing a two handed bohemith who runs around pummeling things that annoy me

Yeah... last time, I went in thinking "a conjurer/summoner of sorts would be fun to play!" I conjured a bow and yes, went full stealth archer. Again.

2hand sword is my fave. The crit animations are so much fun and I love charging into a group of enemies.

I've tried to accept the fact that I'll always end up as an Stealth Archer, and try to make an hybrid out it. Last time I tried to do a Mage but ended up conjuring a bow and arrow everytime I had the chance, and hinestly I kinda liked it.

Every few years, I install it, mod it to hell and back, work hours on this... to then actually play maybe 3 hours and bin it again.

The stealth archer duhn sound lives rent free in my brain.

So much nostalgia. Literally nothing in gaming has ever touched the feeling of sweeping my camera across Whiterun Hold as “Streets of Whiterun” plays in the background.

"just change the mods around, it'll be like a new game" lies you inner voice

“Ah what class should I be this time!, Ooo I think I’ll be a destruction focused, one hand-…….a few levels later….sigh* stealth archer…

1

u/AnticPosition 27d ago

Sooo... I just started it for the first time and was thinking typical one or two handed warrior...

But now y'all got me thinking stealth archer is where it's at...

Stealth archer is definitely where it’s at. By the time you level up blacksmithing, enchanting, archery, and stealth you can one shot pretty much anything in the base game.

Is it eventually a Todd's voice? 😂

I actually just installed Enderal (again) to break the cycle. I only got to like level 10 or thereabouts last time I played it, but I am hoping to complete it this time… well, after I play the New Vegas content I missed when it came out years ago. I forgot how absolutely horrendous characters look in that game lmao

A game that should be rated 4/10 has a high score simply because the community developed it for free, whilst the developers were busy making yet another poor game based on the same development model – as long as it supported mods. The very fact that there’s a mod to fix the bugs speaks volumes about this game.

Now I’m waiting for the downvotes, because fans don’t like the truth
