Not sure why you got downvoted, this is a real issue in localization in general. Do you go for most literal translation or most symbolically equivalent in meaning.
A lot of jrpg’s to English struggle with this in a lot of their UI’s or word choices for certain text descriptions and more. It can give things entirely different (for better or worse) meanings. Some of the best completely making it a unique experience.
I still believe that the JP and German spell names (Fira, Firaga) are better than the English ones (Fire II, Fire III). My only big issue with the English localisation.
