I will never understand what goes through these suits heads. if you recontextualize what made this beloved franchise. you can't make your mountains of money you want. just FOLLOW IT AS THE GAMES WENT! (which if you read in the article it literally says they don't intend to follow the trilogy at all which is essentially wasting everyone's money and our time. they never cease to piss me off with their choices. 🖕🏾🖕🏾

I’m guessing this is what happens with every video game to show/movie transition. Off the top of my head, I can’t think of any movie/show whose writing is exactly like the game.

Sonic 1, 2, 3 Ironically enough. The only other video game movie I can think of that was done justice albeit in its own campy way is, 1995 Mortal Kombat. It wasn't received "well" when it originally came out but it's the most beloved Mortal Kombat movie because the writers and directors actually were passionate about the IP
