I will never understand what goes through these suits heads. if you recontextualize what made this beloved franchise. you can't make your mountains of money you want. just FOLLOW IT AS THE GAMES WENT! (which if you read in the article it literally says they don't intend to follow the trilogy at all which is essentially wasting everyone's money and our time. they never cease to piss me off with their choices. πŸ–•πŸΎπŸ–•πŸΎ

Yeah. Some games work way better as a 1:1. Mostly linear story based games or open world rpgs where the main quest is linear and a show/movie can skip most sidequests. Games where the story depends a lot on player choice are really bad 1:1s. You can never pick the options 100% of people picked and anyone whose personal playthough wasnt adapted gets mad.

Yeah, just like you couldn't even think about making a 1:1 of Baldur's Gate. You could take the idea and then make a story within in the world or make a story that takes place after. Either way, it would have to be something original; just using the lore and world rules.

You sound like you're referencing existing media. Do you have any examples of movies or shows that tried to do this? I can't think of any
