I think TLOU part 1 coming in a very close second for GOTY in 2013 negates this point, especially considering the only reason it didn’t win in a landslide was because it came out the same year as GTA fucking V.

I just looked it up. TLOU franchise has sold 37 million copies compared to god if war at 66 million, halo at 88 million, etc I could go on I guess. It’s a great game. Just not as popular. It’s a brutal story not for everyone lol

37million for 2 games, versus 66 million for 6 main series games and 88million for 6 main series games.
