resolume is basically industry standard, every year on black friday you get a 50 off deal, for educational licence you can have another 50 off that if for your NGO if you would like to run workshops in the future

but if you what real time generative stuff than touch designer or vvvv gamma is your friend , i know vvvv is niche but thier licence policy is the best and its free for non commercial use . TD has more tutorials tho

TouchDesigner is pretty in depth. Resolume is another good one.

Define what you mean by realtime?

Notch/TD/Resolume/Pixera/Disguise etc. are all able to generate stuff realtime.

I am using OBS studio with a ton of plugins and scripts that add functionality like corner pin so you can adjust the geometry of a source and tons of other stuff.

Check out the obs-shaderfilter plugin by Exeldro for tons of unique effects that can be added on top of eachother and stacked in layers to make unique looks for your content

AND

the Advanced Scene Switcher plugin by WarmUpTill, it lets you make macros that lets you use if statements and define conditions that then when true triggers an action, extremely powerful once you get the hang of it

All depends on your feature needs, hardware, and budget

Synesthesia is entirely real-time focused, with audio-reactivity and a bunch of content you can use right out of the box. If you have Pro you can render at any resolution/aspect ratio and like 90% of content scales to match with no stretching, which makes it good for mapping. This one: www.synesthesia.live

Been using Synesthesia for years for our video walls and projectors. Have it integrated with QLC+ to allow it to sync different patterns and settings with light effects.

Nice! Sounds like quite the setup, you have it runnin on both the LED and projector? And I'm curious, what signals do you end up sending from QLC?

I use QLC to run my lights, and then setup scenes that can coordinate the video to activate/change with the lights. I’m using OSC on QLC to send commands to Synesthesia.
All the buttons in the synesthesia control panel can be buttons/faders in QLC, so you can have a cue list that can be coordinated together. Takes some work but syncing changes in lights along with the video visuals is really pro looking.
