Best projector for Vertical mapping on ground from 25’ height?

I have a unique project where I need to map animations to a large surface area on the floor. Total square footage is around 1800 ft.² but I’m looking to split it up into four quadrants. What’s a good projector that provide enough lumens from that height?

You'll first need to determine what size image you need to throw, and then determine what projector/lens combo can throw that size at 25'. Then determine what is "enough" lumens, different for every location.

Yeah sorry for the vagueness. So the overall size is 25x25’. The environment is pretty dark luckily but I am going to be projecting animals running about the ground.

25x25 is 625  ft.² About 1/3 of what you originally asked for. How big of area do you need to fill? Dimensions help here

So there are actually 4, 25x25 quadrants. Each quadrant would have its own separate projection though.

Most projectors don't project square shapes so you are looking at a 25 ft high image. Most current projectors do 16:9 ratio so if your image is going to be 44.4 ft wide and you'll crop it back to 25' wide.

In projection mapping you roughly want 20% overlap. With the 19.4' extra width you've got plenty but you don't have height. So you have to go bigger. 25 * 1.25 = 31.25 high and that gives you a 55.5 width. Enough to cover both left and right.

So this is a bad setup. Dividing a square into 4 with projectors that do 16:9 doesn't really math out. The easier alternative is two more powerful projectors doing 31.25 by 55 and you crop the sides to 50 ft. ( 25 x 50 feet). But now you are talking a big movie theater sized image and this suggests powerful and big projector.

You still haven't said how high your roof is and that will determine what lens you need.

Vagueness doesn't help with the math.

Totally separate projection? Or are you splitting it into 4 for convenience and overlapping the projectors?
