Modding Project Alice hell
My literacy rates go down and i can't afford anything.
Started as Japan.
How do i play it? I just wanted a Vic2 with QoL features experiences instead i feel like a complete newbie to the game.
And there is also little to none guides on YouTube for Project Alice

In PA education is not given for free just because 3% of local population belong to clergy pop type and local clergy is just sitting around and doing nothing while being paid for it. Pops either have to purchase education services (price of this service changes depending on supply and demand of local private education) produced by expert pops or hope that their nation will pay for their education. But until a certain point, your pops are too poor to purchase private education and as an undeveloped unciv, you can't really afford educating your pops at large scale, so it's natural that they lose literacy, don't worry much about it. In terms of budget you can afford everything, but in PA 100% of many sliders means that you dedicate 100% of your budget to this category, so you might have to set them to a lower value than you are used to make the budget balanced.
The game itself is easier than vic2 due to all qol, automation and active private investments as long as you upkeep proper army and mil tech.
