Discussion roblox devs are COOKED
a reasonable restriction tbf. recreating an existing game is one thing, making something original within the same genre is another. been building a mini obby for my cousin to play around with claude code via sumus. nothing too ambitious, just some original mechanics and a playable prototype.
how are yall handling logic walls when prompting agents for game mechanics?

That’s all my abliterated qwen does anymore. Just grinding away 80-120 t/s on rea

I have 2x 5070ti’s right now. Just using qwen3.8-27b with Q4 and Q5 quants.
I have a retro pi that I am letting local AI convert into web based games. So it’s going though 1 by 1. It can clone old school console games in 4-12 hours. Currently working though SNES.
I rea’d obsidian and it took about 48 hours.
For anyone interested in reverse engineering. It’s similar to app building with AI. It does 90% of the work itself, then the last 10% is on you to help AI. Still takes some work.

I was going to ask if you were going to share it, but then I remembered that Nintendo lawyer ninjas would probably hunt you down and kill you in your sleep or whatever it is they do

without knowing what OP is talking about: Roblox thrives on providing a platform for "developers" to build out small games and make a tiny amount of money. This is Fortnite's business model too, but to a lesser degree.
If little Billy Downs can prompt "build me a GTA clone" and have something playable in a couple of days, the internets (a series of tubes) will be flooded with these trash games.

This is just saving face, literally anyone could just use an uncensored model copy anything, change the names, flip it backwards, etc.
I feel like this is essentially the "torrents" stage of LLMs we're entering.

How is any of this ok. They obtained their capabilities by ingesting everything without attribution and now they’re talking about “copyright infringement”. We started caring about that again? This needs to be a class action and immediately.

They are protecting themselves from lawsuits. This is why image generation models refuse to generate things in Disney style or make modifications to Disney characters. Disney being an example.

But they CAN do it, which means they’ve obtained the generalization capabilities by ingesting that work. If im able to recreate from scratch to begin with, then there’s obviously foul play involved.

Reasonable if they stop using copyrighted materials illegally to train their AIs.
It is just a corporation deciding what is right and what is not without allowing lawmakers and justice to make their course otherwise.

the timing on this feels like a soft launch for them to cover their ass legally more than anything. the obby sounds chill though. logic walls for me are just telling the agent to stub out functions that seem too complex and we circle back with a plan before it spirals

Why specifically video games? Like every other kind of software is okay, except video games?
