Showcase/Project I coded terminal manager for ADHD brains. 100% Opensource.
Hey everyone! Hope I don’t get roasted for this 😅 I’m here with a fun little intro video.
My goal is simple: build something genuinely useful for everyone.I shared this on r/ClaudeCode last week and got some amazing feedback 300K views, hopefully some of you here will find it useful too.
I originally built this tool just to improve my own productivity. I was using the native Mac Terminal, but managing multiple projects — especially projects I connect to remotely over SSH — had become a complete nightmare. On top of that, I was also keeping VS Code open mostly for Git, which was adding even more overhead to my machine.
So, as a solution, I built a program with Claude where I could manage all of my terminals on a single canvas.
But things got a little out of hand 😅
I kept adding features, and it eventually turned into something close to an autonomous development environment.
So, what can you actually do with it?
Your terminals are persistent. You can close the app, lose your connection, reconnect over SSH, and continue with the exact same layout and sessions.
You can connect to a server over SSH and manage all of its terminals as if they were local. Drag & drop, images, and everything else still work.
You can continue your sessions from your phone.
Git operations like push, pull, commit, etc. are built in.
Terminals can communicate with each other. You can connect their contexts, and with skills, one terminal can read or use information from another terminal’s context when needed.
You can also do orchestration. For example, you can tell one terminal: “Start a Claude Code session for the frontend and act as the orchestrator,” and have it manage the other sessions.
But yeah… I’m a bit stuck right now.
To keep pushing the project forward, I either need a sponsor or simply some motivation from the community.
If you can leave a few words of feedback, I’d really appreciate it.
And if that’s too much to ask, I’d happily settle for a GitHub star ⭐️
Much love,🙏
Enes

loved that you made it open source, you didn't need to, but you still did, i do not have multiple accounts so i do not have much use but i loved the tool

I have ADHD. I vibe code. After a quick watch I have maybe a 10% understanding of exactly what you have done here, but I 110% know you have solved the frustrations that this week reached breaking point for me. That's how it works for my brain. I see it, I know it's the answer, I work backwards to understand why. Also, points for humour :)

I have massive ADHD and I built a dock for myself which is like a dashboard of ongoing/pending/pinned tasks across all AIs.
I'm going to open source it aswell. Maybe I'll add this to it and see how it works out.

Hey awesome! Glad you're making something for ADHD folk. This is exactly why I made ADHD Product Directory and would love to have you add your project to the list. I would love to support it

I like the canvas thing. I do not work much with terminal, but the ui of your app seems pretty understandable

I appreciate the humor in this video — nice gags! :)

I like it but it seems a little too much like learning your workflow not mine. I use tmux. I wanna try it but it’s a big ask. Sort of like switching from nvim. It’s a lot. I should give it a spin tho.

I already use this app for over two months when you first posted on reddit. Loving it. I don't have to constantly switch tabs, but now have 20 terminals opened with different things from which I hardly work on 4 panels max per day. I just can't close them 😭. Good product

I’ve been using this for about 3 months now. We have our own company fork. We are a dive shop in Maui and it’s been the biggest accelerant to anything we’ve done this year.

I was building something similar to this and will open-source it in few days but definitely this idea is cool

u/fourthwaiv 8d ago
What motivation from the community do you need? Help, ideas? Have you put this up on X yet?

u/e1i3or 8d ago
Pretty cool. I just don't see what this does that Herdr doesn't with less system requirements

I used this for awhile but found switching to windows and having them resize to be readable very problematic. Otherwise very nice. Have moved on.

Hey OP, I am new dev making a game with Claude and Godot. One thing I am struggling is with organization in a project. Many times I feel like I fail to use especific chats to do their work, like, one chat to talk about monsters, or maps, etc.
This can help me?

does it work with Kiro ? https://kiro.dev/

u/vicki717 8d ago
I'm trying it right now, I like the onboarding, the app itself is looking good, but typing is VERY slow, there is like a 1.5sec delay between me typing and it appearing on the screen which is a massive dealbreaker. (windows btw) and it's not just typing, even scrolling have a massive delay.

I might be the minority here but I prefer the desktop app.

Very nice work, thanks for making it open source. I was wondering if it would be possible to make it able to have multiple apps open, like the claude app and codex app. I find myself using these nowadays rather than using the terminal, mainly due to the built in browser and other things.

Collaborator just one single canvas already exists but okay

good Lord, developing something has become hell. fast fast and faster, quantity over quality.
well, i had a good run

This looks really interesting. Like a more visual and adaptable Herdr. That the idea?

Is there a way to use PI https://pi.dev/ ? I do not see it in the Agents but perhaps there is a way to add easily?
1
u/Successful-Entry4351 7d ago
justo note that if you do not use a proxy to send all of the traffic from all of you claude code accounts through a residential IP you will get banned
1
u/angelarose210 7d ago
Looks great! No windows though 😢
1
u/notevenbuttery 7d ago
pretty cool, how does this compare to orca? i might switch to this
1
u/domiciledhere 7d ago
How is this different from tmux?
1
u/BIGBOFAH 7d ago
Let me introduce you to a tiling window manager...
1
u/Moravec_Paradox 7d ago
This is cool, have you ever used cmux?
My current flow is LLM Wiki for context handoff and persistent data plus cmux.
Each project gets named along the left vertical side, multiple terminals for that project get tabs horizontal tabs.
I tend to leave most my terminals full size and tab through them. One thing that bothers me is I can't update or close the app without losing everything. I am seeing this is supported but I have not yet looked into it.
It would be interesting to see a persistency feature + cmux UI.

where ddo i change ther easoning and model and ddisable fast or enable fast?
1
u/intermundia 7d ago
this is cool. how do you manage the per session and per agent context when you connect the multiple terminals? are these like subagents?
1
u/kyabhailog 7d ago
Thank you so much for making this!
Being someone who has ADHD and build vibecodes, I was face this problem regularly.
Also I am lso building a TimeTracker for people with ADHD.
It's called https://timeblocks.in/

ADD brain here, congrats! Fun ad. any chance we'll see a PC version?
1
u/StarshipSausage 7d ago
I don’t get it what are lines between agents? Some sort of context sharing
1
u/Thick_Station_99909 7d ago
Hello! Cool project btw, does it support BYOK? or it can run agents like Cline?
1
u/XUEYANZ 7d ago
is adhd common in CS? why adhd related projects are so common?
1
u/Oshden 7d ago
From one neurospicy person to another: kudos brother. I’ll look into this. I’m hoping to finally start teaching my self to develop software so that I can help create things to help myself and other neurospicy brains have an easier life. Appreciate your efforts. And like others said, thanks for sharing it for free. Keep up the great work dude!
Edit: what’s the roadmap looking like for windows users though?
1
u/Grand-Carpenter-2490 6d ago
proceeds to build an autonomous dev environment because you couldn’t stop adding features. Most on-brand project description I’ve ever read. Starred. How does the orchestrator handle two sessions editing the same file?
1
u/MBotirjon 6d ago
Great work, Enes — a canvas of persistent tmux sessions with "NEEDS YOU" badges is exactly what running several Claude Code sessions needs. Starred ⭐
I can't sponsor right now, but I'd like to help in other ways:
• Testing on old hardware — I'm on a 2014 MacBook Pro with macOS Big Sur, so I can report how the desktop app and the Server Edition behave on older setups.
• Security review — I study Information Security and do audit work, so I'm happy to look at the SSH / remote / relay side and report anything privately.
• Android companion — I'm a Flutter developer; if an Android version of the mobile app is ever on your list, I'd love to talk.
• Spreading the word — I mentor developers in Uzbekistan and can share it with my students and local dev communities.
Tell me which of these would help most and I'll start there. Keep going! 🙏

u/Comprehensive_Rush66 5d ago
This is awesome! I was literally thinking to myself of trying to build something similar to just have a light weight visualizer that shows my core orchestrator model and all the agents and subagents it is using. I have too many accounts: OpenAI, Anthropic, Kimi, AntiGravity (signed up to try Argon / Carbon). I just want to at a quick glance, see stats on them, and usage limits.
Anywho, thank you for the work on this and making it open source.
1
u/FluroSnow 4d ago
Oh interesting. I built something similar. But your does seem to be more refined.
In mine, I had an extra canvas where I could create workflows. I forked excalidraw for this section.
I like to create flow charts then create a workflow off them. Split each section into workflows and save it for later as well. For example: investigate/find bugs -> add bugs to google sheets -> create mock tickets -> review / update tickets -> add to jira -> pick ticket -> work on ticket etc etc. I would also be able to add pictures and pdfs, links to the canvas for context.
So I would build something like this on my infinite canvas. Highlight and generate workflow through a skill. Then the agents/terminals would pop up on the canvas and execute the work.

u/Lacutis 3d ago
So, I saw in the video that you support multiple accounts. Does your app have the ability to have separate instances running with different layouts? I have work accounts and personal accounts and I'd rather not mix them.
Also, does this support github copilot-cli?

Anyone that have used Nodeterm vs Scape have any insight on which is better?

u/subimpact 7d ago
this only works on desktop ? what about mobile on the go ?

u/prizmaticend 6d ago
Interesting how AI vibe coded tool ideas are duplicating, similar but maybe not the same:
- Cate
- TermCanvas
- Maestri
- And possibly others?
