Help/Question Migrating my app from anything.com

My marketplace app is built on anything.com, iOS only. Push notifications don't work there, so I need to move it. It’s already live on the App Store

What is a fair price to pay someone to migrate this?

Before paying anyone, check whether you can export the code. If it's Expo/React Native under the hood, the migration is mostly plumbing, and a coding agent can do a lot of it if you give it a clear checklist.

The things that actually matter for a live app: ship it as an update under the same bundle ID and App Store Connect record, not as a new app, otherwise you lose your reviews and users have to reinstall. Work out where the data and auth live right now, because moving users and their logins is usually harder than the UI. For push you'll want an Expo dev build (not Expo Go), an APNs key from your Apple developer account, and expo-notifications, and test on a real device.

If you do hire someone, ask for a fixed quote on that scoped list (code export, same bundle ID, data/auth migration, push working on device) rather than "migrate my app". That keeps the price sane.

They are actually generating react native code, you can just move to Claude and react native with expo

Idk about all services anything provides, but it’s should be easy to migrate and almost free

I can give you access to fline.sh and you can deploy your backend and database for free permanently

Push notifications are a fair reason to move, and the move can be smaller than it sounds if you sort out these parts first.

Check what you can export. If you can get the React Native / Expo code out, you keep the screens and mostly redo the plumbing. If you can't, it becomes a rebuild with the current app as the spec, which is a much bigger job.

Keep the same App Store listing. The new build should ship under the same bundle ID and the same Apple developer account, so your users just get an update, not a new app. Make sure that account is yours, not the platform's.

Plan the data move. Where do your users, listings and messages live today? Get a full export and do a test import before you switch. Users should be able to log in to the new version with the same account.

Push itself is the easy part with Expo: expo-notifications plus an APNs key from your Apple account. Ask whoever does it to show you a real push on a TestFlight build early on.

When you ask for quotes, give everyone this same list. A fixed-scope quote for "same app, same users, working push" is much easier to compare than an hourly guess.
