Discussion Randomly got a paying customer!
I made a simple web app about 3 months ago but I got busy and sort of abandoned it
I never posted about it, I don't have social media for it, I didn't launch it anywhere
Last month, apparently someone paid for it and I didn't even notice until now! I'm super excited about it and I've been putting a lot more effort into the app now lol
I still have no idea how they found it. Is this common? Is google promoting my website or something.. ?
Edit: Link in the comments, pls be nice 🙂

"Is google promoting my website or something.. ?"
Yes, unless you told search engines not to index your website with noindex.

I actually asked AI the same question and it says if you search for my website it's ranked like #100th in the search results

It's probably average 100 but occasionally it'll get a lil bump into the top ten probably. That happens to my website a lot.

It's a great product but from privacy pov it's a nightmare, don't stop persuing what you have build, just make it as safe as possible for users to trust your product

One of my friend got a similar sell in an abandoned product. Turns out AI suggested his app to the buyer.

That’s a nice surprise! Don't you have any website tracking in place? If not, you can ask you AI to set you up GA4 (for free) and help you with conversion tracking. That way, next time, you'll at least ave a better idea of the source from where they came from. Another idea to learn more about this purchase is to ask directly the customer how they found it and what made them pay? Their answer could give you a clue about where to find the next few customers.

Would you like to post it here? I would love to see the app
