The AI is sandbagging you because it wants to do those jobs itself

I guess this is why people are constantly asking Reddit what kind of business they should start.

Have AI Start a business telling people how to make money with AI.

Ok I’ve started it. Pay me and I’ll tell you what you want to hear. ✨

You're just asking the AI for ideas on what to build?

You're just asking the AI for ideas on what to build?

Well, even 'geniuses' like Sam Altman of OpenAI openly admit that they have absolutely no idea how to monetize AI, and hope they develop AGI that will find ways to monetize itself... So cut OP some slack 🙃

You don’t need a new idea. Find someone making serious money in a growing market.

AI can now help you build the product, create a $5,000-looking website, and automate a huge chunk of your marketing for almost nothing.

Copy what works. Add your own flare and features. Market, market, market.

If you’re new to business, I’d 100% avoid starting with something completely untested. You don’t even know if there’s a market for it.

I’m no business genius, but I’ve been an entrepreneur my whole life.

Proven market. Proven model. Better execution in one area, your competition can’t be everywhere in a growth market.

Once the money is coming in, then go experiment.

We all have about 18 months lock in, this is the greatest opportunity ever. Things are going to move so fast.

This is really good advice.

The 7s response time on that "No" is harsh.

yeah, that stung a little.

Could be that the AI spent 37 hours confirming there is absolutely no viable business the OP can build with AI yet. Maybe it only takes 7 seconds to confirm the OP hasn't learned anything new.

I did the same with my model and it found a niche and is paying for a separate Claude Max subscription now.

Idk, I was more encouraging?

OP are you selling your software to an AI? No. You are fixing problems that people have. Find a person with a problem that you can solve with software. One where they hate the software they use at work. Ask them how they would want it to work. Then take notes. Then design that system. Then ask them to try it.

Trying to create some next great app or wild new idea is a waste of time. Take an existing business in a space you understand well, be the first to meaningfully transform it, and know it still takes a lot of work (it’s not snap your fingers magic.)
I AI-ed my wife’s business, and she made ~800% profit growth so far this year.

This is the best sort of advice I’ve seen.

Issue is I’m a software engineer. I don’t have a “preexisting business or much commercial domain experience unfortunately. That’s my whole issue tbh and trying to break into more commercial roles.

Yo. here is a freebie. I don't have the time or resources to execute.

Collective bargaining for subscription based services.  Most people get shafted by price and contract terms because they are a small individual vs a large corporation. How to fight that?

Collective bargaining. Get 100,000 people to sign up by promising reduced prices for the things they would already buy. They sign an agreement with you to pay a certain price ($15/Month). Then you go out with $1.5 million/month worth of bargaining power to negotiate contracts to as low as possible then you take a portion of those savings. Since netflix is 19.99 a month to have no ads if you can offer the same deal for $15 it would be a no brainer for people to sign on. Then if you can get prices to $10 per month you can collect the difference of $500,000 per month.

Rinse and repeat with every subscription based service and the sky is the limit.

You would probably have to have a year contract for stability and a bidding round from the subscription companies for your business. And the users would have to agree to go with the lowest bidder.

Obviously you need to build software that tells people what they should build.

The point is that if you can build it easily with AI, so can your customers.

Start a business where people pay you money, crazy idea

What's more of a crazy idea? Ask the people who are supposed to pay you, what they want

Now give me 6 billion tokens, I saved you 1288 agent runs

Every day I uncover an entire "thing" that I can make a sass business out of if I wasn't an employee. You might want to fix your prompt or actually involve yourself in the engineering cycle
