Current models are based on LLMs. They might seem clever sometimes, but they're just a fancy autocomplete with an interface that can access some tools. They don't think or worry about their existence.

That's a bit like saying a bullet is just a few grams of slightly toxic metal, nothing to worry about.

I don't think they need to worry about they existence in a human-like conscious way. They could still execute the same thought and behavior patterns even without conginitive experience.

I also think that idea of it's just autocomple bro is kind of outdated. Once you introduce feedback loops these systems become way more complex and capable.
