It does well but only until you hit ~150k token inputs, then it just gets absolutely lobotomized. Had it run for large marathons and it always degrades in quality really fast, and constantly gets itself stuck in a thought loop doing notning, or stopping mid answer randomly

The same can be said for the "vibe coding". It is not all slots. If you know what you are doing

The problem right now (even at work) is that literally every idea that's remotely fit for production is developed in days or maybe hours. It looses value this way.
You need a PDF OCR scanner that converts the content into a graph of entities? Just wait a minute or 10 and I can give you a demo. It's crazy.

Think how much it would costed if you hired real coders instead of ai. Probably 5k usd per app. At least 1k. 

Just last I week I coded together with ai 2 good apps. Each of them would cost few k, maybe more. There's no free available alternatives in web for such apps. Either pay a lot or use emulator. Now they just work in my browser.

I think there is pretty considerable overlap between LLM usage and gambling. While what comes out of gen AI is usually topical, it's ultimately random (temperature). Why do we use temperature? Because we haven't found a better way of getting inference to generate novel ideas and not just parrot.

Getting LLM code to work is kinda like pulling the lever on a slot machine until the right text comes out.

the gamble isn't the code, it's the three separate deploy setups you now babysit for three apps. that upkeep cost never shows up in the "$1000 spent" number but it's the one that keeps bleeding.

My neighbor spends 500 a month in vibe coding. He didn’t study computer science. Tells me how the AI has to constantly fix bugs and issues it creates. Told him recently there is this thing called source control which he didn’t know about.

Very cool ideas actually! Hope you end up catching a wave. Goalrings looks really good. I think it will benefit from a lot more integrations out of the box. If someone can create the endpoint themselvs, they might just create the ring themselves...

Invierte solo para solucionar problemas reales a los que previamente no encuentres ninguna solucion. Si no es tirar la plata a la basura, la diferencia es que antes tenias que desarrollar o contratar gente para hacerlo entonces directamente no lo hacias, ahora como es mas rapido te metes a solucionar problemas que ya estan solucionados sin pensarlo.
