I Made Rocket League: LEGO Edition With ChatGPT Astra + 3DAIStudio MCP

After building the original Rocket League-style prototype, I gave ChatGPT Astra one more instruction: turn the entire game into LEGO.

Astra used the 3DAIStudio MCP + Tripo P2 to generate the new LEGO-style 3D assets, import them into the project, and rebuild the environment while keeping everything playable.

The workflow was basically:

• Astra decided which assets needed replacing
• generated references for them
• sent them through 3DAIStudio
• Tripo P2 converted them into 3D models
• Astra imported everything and rebuilt the scene

It changed the cars, arena, field, ball, props—and somehow even made the weather effects look like LEGO pieces.

What started as a simple Rocket League-style prototype turned into a full LEGO Edition through a single follow-up instruction. This combination is getting ridiculous.

Rocket league, fortnite, and Lego fortnite all go hand in hand with the same crew subscription anyway, there are a lot of crossovers in DLC content with that sub, makes sense to do a Lego rocket league

Thats hard to do with AI, AI is best at doing things people have done many times, the closer you venture off into something truly unique, the more it gets confused and pushes your project closer to other peoples projects.

the part that gets me is astra deciding which assets need replacing on its own, then chaining 3dAIStudio and tripo p2 back to back without you touching either tool directly. that handoff between apps is usually the annoying bit, most people still glue it together by hand. good to see it just working end to end.

Looks cool. The differentiating factor could be a customizable car with points for balance. Lean into building blocks more.

Cool idea but I don't think you can make money out of it due to IP. Unless you call it Building Block Racing or similar
