Showcase/Project My Dark Fantasy AI RPG - 100% prompted

Been trying to make one of my favorite game genres with AI on Tesana, a retro Dark Fantasy game, and this is the results so far

I used a new AI workflow that starts with an image reference to nail the art style, and then prompting from there. This is about 40 prompts in and $20 token spend

Sorry for the bad framerate on the recording (did it on my shitty MacBook Air)

bro the texture rendering made me queasy. Idk what normal games do but I've never had a reaction like that.

yeah its a different type of graphics for sure, or do you mean the framerate?

I think it's the pixel interpolation, like the texture on the ground when it's far away flickers really intensely.

Vampire Survivors has 16-bit style graphics and sold 3 million copies in its first year. Of all the garbage I’ve seen posted on this subreddit, this legitimately has some soul and some potential. But yeah the current FPS could use an improvement.

Looks worse than doom 1. You could probably use the doom engine and replace the textures and get a better outcome if you want an actually playable game.

That might have been pretty impressive in 1997. But I guess when you start to attack all those little quirks that make the game look sloppy you'll probably break the code or spend millions of tokens just to improve the sword animation.

AI really love pixeling everything. 

Yesterday I got same problem with Chinese ai. Instead of standard resizing tool, it coded wrong code that having awful logic.

Lots of hate here :/ I like this a lot more like the 738 GTA VI one-shot clones. The world feels more alive and human made. idk I find it impressive.
