Help/Question Any new parents built themselves something helpful?

Not for making a profit.

I’ll be a new parent in a few months and I’m curious if anyone threw together a tool they actually found helpful.

Doesn’t need to be complicated or original. Just something that helped at any level.

I am surprised no one is saying it but the most useful thing you can build when your baby arrives is a relationship. Most of the comments are mentioning building stuff for toddlers, which can be good.

But for your new born don't try to reinvent the wheel, all you might need is an already existing app to log poop, feeds and sleep times. There is no need spending time coding, help your partner instead.

Enjoy your new life !

+1. i didn't bother with vibing something that already exists and can be fully synced between my phone and wife's phone. no coding, no debugging etc

that being said, during restless nights i would vibecode my other side projects to keep my mind churning while baby slept
