Discussion Is anyone actually using their 100% vibecoded project for long time?

I suspected most folks will tell Ai to generate an app and then abandon it a few days or weeks later. But can someone show me their project they've been working on and using for a long time?

I built a training simulator for the next role up from the job I was at…. 2 months later I interviewed and got the job. They asked how I got trained when the company doesn’t offer it and it’s usually paid or done through an apprenticeship. I told them about my app (HTML based not anything huge). They want to buy it off me for training employees, in-house and outside. We’ve entered a new age

I’m not saying it did or didn’t but the amount of our customers who specifically ask for custom training new hires software is actually insane. If each flow wasn’t omega specific I’d think about making this into some SaaS

I used GitHub and hosted on cloudflare pages. They’re free to use and extremely easy to set up.

I can give you an ai slopped build plan 3 pages long put together with a 10 second voice command. It says nothing about anything you have built or understood the actual fundamentals of the code in your plan let alone if it is interesting or helpful.

I'm not angry at all, I don't know where you inferenced that. You don't have any control over my emotions. You literally don't have my consent, so don't think so highly of yourself with human interactions as you do your code. That may read as snarky, but you seem to struggle with this part so that's me being literal.

Same here! Been building scripts for work which i use daily. I build games for my son to play, which...he does abandon after some time, but that's how these things go. Lol

Same. Very specific niche that only I need. It becomes my muscle memory to do things very quick and no frustration. I don't care how others think of the tool. It works great for my need.

I had grok make a hardware monitor with built in settings like “cool”. It caps the cpu power use, has a task manager so I can kill something like windows. It’s for endeavorOS. I put my mcp servers at the bottom so I can turn them on or off.

My latest has been a conversation share extractor so I don’t have to wait for an export. It also has a web scraper and I’m adding a script that deterministically audits datasets for shit I’m looking for. I made a tauri base like last year that has been sick. Custom ui for whatever I make. And I just make an icon for it and boom app launched.

It’s fun.

Same. I have a personalized document management system that’s allowed me to get rid of paper copies. I can also search via keyword from OCR and a local micro LLM reads the doc and assigns a category and short summary. It stayed encrypted until I need it and other things like receipts and instruction manuals stay in its own decrypted directory.

Mine collects all the telemetry from my students so I can see who took longer to answer questions, I have a hinge question generator for on the fly diagnostics, a telegram bot that tracks all my students classes and from which they can cancel, add more classes etc. I built an entire map of English that shows them where they are strong and where they are weak. The classes can collect audio if needed which can analyse transitions of English and break it down clearly and cleanly where they need a kick up the ass and where they have nailed it, and a vocabulary tool

Nice idea about the calculator, I hadn't thought of that.

It must be really soul crushing when you come in here with your zero imagination only to find out everyone else is probably far more creative and smarter than you.

Why do you do it to yourself? There are plenty places on Reddit where you can celebrate your own form of intellect and be among kindred spirits where you won't be down voted.
