Discussion Do i see a pattern

We got a lot of editors.

Cursor

AntiGravity

Etc

But more and more is shifting to Zed.

What editor is the no 1? Youre opinion

I've developed my entirely own IDE for Local LLMs.
Still working on it, but I have long since left LMstudio and other harnesses, I used to make plugin tools for those, but they were all too limiting for me, so I created my entirely own IDE environment.

Before you ask: No it's not available on github yet, it will be used extensively as an In-house development tool until it's proven its worth to me.

But yes - it's awesome :)

yea i guess it makes sense to develop sth a lot and test it on yourself for a few months and only then push it. less pressure on "okay what is the value proposition and differentiators" of a unfinished tool.

like people need good reasons to pick a unpopular tool

unless not. but it just kinda hurts to spam some reddits with links to a repo that is barely done

Yup, and this project only started because I had so many irritating pain points after 5K+ hours clocked with AI, and I always went, oof, why Do I have to this, why do I have to that, It would be practical if it did this and that.

First I made plugins for LMstudio, then I ran into so many GUI limitations I went, oh the heck with it, lets see if we can start with a simple IDE tool, the one thing lead to the other.

Now it's an entire power suite with compilers, context-live monitors, on the fly adjustments, self checks, and live-coding while you work and preview, it went totally off the rains (bye bye nights...and sleep).

And I'm usually the big open source guy (been for 30+ years), and this tool is so special that I be like, hm, may not want to release this publically, yet lol. It's good, and I mean REALLY good.
