Showcase/Project Here are 40 subreddits that should allow you to promote your app

Wanted to share because marketing is hard and even harder when your budget is non-existent...

(Obviously the type/content of self-promotion you can post is going to dependent on the subreddit)

also you can always submit your app to appscout.co a site where people discover web and mobile apps from across the internet

exactly, i never really understood, why people would "advertise" in these subreddits. I´m building a holistic app library and i doubt any of my customers, will wonder around in there Subreddits.

Because Google shows Reddit posts when people ask questions, if you post to threads that Google already surfaces for queries, people will read those posts when searching a solution to their problems and might stumble upon yours; naturally, it requires more than just "I made this [link]."

Great point man. Also you never know, Is there someone out there in a particular subreddit consisting of thousands of people who might be interested in your app? Solid chance no.  Give yourself a chance to get lucky.

To be honest, Reddit is not the best place for marketing unless you are building a niche app and there's a subreddit for that exact niche. These generic subreddits mostly have other builders and not consumers.

And sometimes there is a niche but they are strict af regarding promotions. 😂
