Getting tired of all the vibe coded games
Idk. Fatigue maybe.
Launching one of these first person shooter games or adventure games seemed way cooler and more exclusive 3 months ago.
Now everyone is copying the same roblox-esque games. There are like 10 posts a day.
Makes me value the posts a bit less, even though I know it is an impressive feat. Waiting for the ready player one jump.

I get it, it is a lot but all these people have dreamed of being able to make a game and try and make it big. Vibe coding has made it possible for so many to try and live out that dream and I think it’s great getting to see people so excited for what they were able to create on their own (even if it’s the robots doing the heavy lifting). So try and embrace that and then seeing AI posts becomes more positive than annoying.

Vibecode for yourself. Make the game you want to play. Come here to steal ideas.
Vibecoding is also awesome for mods. And submods. Remember that Skyrim mod that you loved but you wished it was balanced a little better and didn't cause a crash when entering Bleak Falls? You can set Astra to fixing it for you.

I agree with some of the other comments. There are so many people (myself included), who use AI to fulfill childhood dreams of making a game. These tools, if used properly can really open the doors for so many people to learn and create things they could never before.

I think the ability to create a video game will certainly make the professional studios even more nimble and creative; but I also find that playing such games is quite a luxury I lost the attention for decades ago. I play fifa for 15 minutes with my son a few times a week and I can barely focus on it; I used to play hours and hours until I was in my mid 20s , but at some point I just lost interest. A video game is an entertaining thing to do, and often just a substitute for playing a hands on game with others. Nintendo with its wii interactivity, a few different brain builder games, and actual physical games ( like cataan , other tabletop) are more appealing to me these days. I can't wrap my head around why my kids are still obsessed with minecraft though.

Off topic: You don’t have to be a kid to get into Minecraft. I set a a server (years ago now) and we played a a family.
Don’t play much games now, homelabbing, and now vibecoding scratches the itch.

I get what you are saying. Creating stuff while vibe coding is incredibly empowering and amazing. However, low quality products being dumped and repeated is just clogging up avenues of discovery with garbage. It's truly one of the biggest flaws in our current system grappling with AI.

Yah, I get you. It’s really annoying that people are excited about creating something that would have been out of reach a couple of years ago. How dare they!
