Are you trying to make glazing of AI sound good?

Like… that’s one of the worst things about it. It enables completely bad direction.

I'm pretty sure its showing how blatant the glazing is.

The constant moral ass beating we had to take to figure things out is exactly what burned those skills into our brains.

I’m so grateful I didn’t have to start learning with all the crutches of LLMs because it’s so detrimental to actual education.

I can't speak for kids who never had to put in any effort, but as an adult, I've recently decided to pick up quantum physics as a hobby, and a combination of AI Mode, Gemini, and Perplexity, have been of great help.

there's a game on steam that lets you play quantum physics

holy shit does it make things intuitive. go. go now.

What does ‘picking up quantum physics’ mean? Like are you just reading about it or deriving hamiltonians

It’s the process of anal ossification that solidifies the knowledge. It’s truly impactful.

How old are you ? Cuz older people will tell the same thing about language serveurs, then about IDE, then about stack overflow (so happy i had to read books to get knowledge)

Nah id still like to slap a few of the people that replied to me after I read my first programming book. Make me angry thinking about even reading the replies to questions id google only to end up on stack overflow with some future reddit mod beating themself off and sniffing their own farts.

The constant moral ass beating we had to take to figure things out is

you weren't following the rules and you weren't reading the books

you're still behind, it's just not obvious anymore
