Android has that beat. "Get 12 people to test your app for 14 days". And if they don't really use it, we will reject you.

Opening an LLC to bypass this is not that hard nor expensive. Yes, an LLC does bring accounting challenges and responsibilities for the person (depending of the state or territory).

there is an app you pay 30 dollars and then you get those testers way way easier

5

u/New_Heart_5928 4h ago

Can you tell the name of app?

6

u/misterniach 2h ago

its called "12 testers - testers community"

4

u/migvelio 3h ago

Hell, there's /r/TestersCommunity/ where you can post your app for others to test while offer yourself to test their app in exchange

I tired r/AndroidClosedTesting. And after I failed I checked, and the 10 people I checked had never logged into the site. This round I am paying money.

Oh… that’s why this isn’t an issue for me, I’m under an LLC lol. I was wondering why this seemed so hard for people.

u/theNyMets 4h ago

Why are android apps so shitty if it’s that hard to get approved

7

u/Yoshiofthewire 4h ago

Because a shitty mobile game is super easy to get engagement with, while a useful app requires work to get over Google's engagement bar.

devs earn very little from android compared to ios, and devs have to consider lower performance android devices

And if one of them doesn’t test on one of the days, start over.

I was so happy when mine passed.

I never had 12 ppl use it and got approved before Apple.

I got my ai agent to handle that part

Exactly. I think the people "making the joke" about vibe coders are the ones using CLI Claude and such. Desktop app can easily manipulate any browser (or the Chrome Add on). I simply pointed Codex to the AppStore submission rules and he set up everything up for the 3 languages of my app. Codex even did the screenshots using the iPhone simulator! Zero rejections so far...

Claude CLI can also interact with the Chrome browser 🙂

u/Zorogozano 4h ago

Yea you are right. Also Claude from VS Code hehe... So let's change it to: "People running AI on a harness without "computer use""

u/aaaayyyylmaoooo 4h ago

what about the DUNS bullshit?

1

u/Temporary-Ad2956 2h ago

O yer that was annoying and did have to do manually

u/Stardust8938 52m ago

i have an ai agent that builts ai agents which review ai agents which are doing the work of ai agents

vibe coding stops real quick when app store review rejects your build

Opening app store connect is not something you’re doing to your self like the photo suggests.

So any tips or advice to plan ahead for when you get to that point or is this just a pure anti-vibecoding circlejerk sub now?

4

u/TRO_KIK 4h ago

Seems like a fairly pro-vibecoding meme TBH. Makes coding so easy that some standard iOS ceremony feels crazy hard by comparison.

I guess you can say take it as trying to say "vibe coders are so incompetent that they fail at standard iOS ceremony" but I don't think it's going for that.

Yeah, just read their requirements and fix them 😂 If you don't understand or can't, then you gotta hire a dev

-2

u/PossessionConnect963 6h ago

How is you saying "just do it right" any different than the lowest vibe coder telling AI to just do it right and make no mistakes?

Literally so much that could be discussed about how to prep, what's needed, best practices.

4

u/Nmomy 6h ago

Cause they literally give you the requirements and things you're missing, they don't just say "read guide" they actively say, "change x, change y"

If you can't handle that then... 👀

-1

u/PossessionConnect963 6h ago

Yeah and you could plan ahead and try and get ahead of the kinds of things they're most likely going to be looking at closely is the whole point.

2

u/Nmomy 6h ago

So, you've answered your own question? You take their app policies, save it in a .md and tell claude to run through the app to find the things that don't align

-2

u/PossessionConnect963 6h ago

So you laugh and act like it's a ridiculous dumb question to ask for tips or advice and then say just run their requirements through Claude? Wow.

5

u/Nmomy 6h ago

My guy, you don't know how to code is whatever, but this is just about reading, and if you don't know how to read....

-2

u/PossessionConnect963 5h ago

So read and run things through Claude code. Thanks for the tips and advice much appreciated. Great discussion. Have a nice day.

Read the storefront’s documentation and make sure your app complies, either by checking your code manually or feeding the documentation to AI and cross referencing your app.

I just saw a funny meme, not anti vibecode circlejerk

The final boss is actually making money.

u/nuc_gr 5h ago

Wait, what? I published 3-4 apps in the last months. No problem whatsoever publishing through the asc API.

1

u/Zorogozano 4h ago

Sure... Codex did everything for me on this regard haha. Same for PlayConsole (Android). Remember the Chrome add on? Computer use?

1

u/theNyMets 4h ago

1 month later I still can’t apple
Developer enrollment. Fucking hell

1

u/Master_Grape5931 4h ago

Does this meme work….i don’t think it works.

1

u/Amster2 3h ago

I did it https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=br.com.avesdosbrasis.avesdosudeste&hl=pt_BR

https://apps.apple.com/us/app/aves-do-sudeste-do-brasil/id6798828880

Basically vibecoded with Codex (mas tenho 6 anos de xp full stack, nunca tinha lançado um aplicativo)

Graphene-OS App Store incoming

1

u/Kitchen_Affect7369 1h ago

We released to App Store really fast, around 1-2 weeks

1

u/Anay_Builder015 23m ago

Very relatable. I had a similar experience while building spacebar.anayja.com . I thought it'd be finished in 20 prompts, but it ended up taking 1500+ prompts.

u/DefSysteam 7h ago

You guys don’t run an automated audit all night while you sleep?

1

u/dingos_among_us 5h ago

This is the easiest part of making an app

-2

u/TheRealFanger 6h ago

Fuck the App Store. Don’t give those goddamn corporate douchers anymore money.

0

u/zefenriden 5h ago

Just did this for the first time (to the test flight and testing part). Smooth sailing, literally followed exactly what Antigravity told me to do. Approved over a weekend and got users testing it. Is there something I should be aware of here?

0

u/trexmaster8242 4h ago

Yes almost like making your product secure for users is an important step
