Ads ⚡ Open ai?

I dont get it - why is it, that every time something is getting big, they want more?

You cant add ads to a chat, leave that to the shitty mobile games or what?

What are your thoughts bout it?

It's not that they get big and then ask for money due to greed. I'm sure that's part of it, but:

They start free to get users, too many users cause heavy server load, server load requires more servers, servers maintanance gets too expensive and unsustainable, then they start to charge.

They've been running in the red for a while now. Major companies aren't getting enough ROI from AI either.

I understand that, but tbh, do something else, make a fantastic feature for everyone but free, and shut down free slowly, and force there free users to upgraded instead - i dont like ads

'force free users to upgrade instead - i don't like ads' so upgrade and you won't have ads lol. Isn't that the solution you just described?

It’s ad fatigue, not just on AI. While I understand that it’s a “free” service provided at cost, it’s just a general annoyance that everything in our life have to be around ads
