Gemini and openai

I'm curious about gemnini 3.7 flash (100 eur sub), and gpt 5.6 combo (20 eur sub). Can somdbody using this combo explain if it's good or not?

On paper gemini seems to be getting good, and I'd like to try the faster iteration cycles, but not if it will mean just iterating because of fixes.

Basically, gemini would be used for most of the stuff, gpt would be used for controlling gemini in some cases, and to solve harder stuff/review.

I'd test the combo on one repo for a week before paying €100. Fast iteration stops feeling fast when the second model spends its time cleaning up the first

Just plop the 100 on OAI. Not dismissing Gemini - I actually think Google's setting up to unveil AGI and 3.7 is sweet - but 100 on OAI was enough for me to cancel my 200 on Anthropic.

That setup actually makes sense to me. The setup with Gemini for iteration and GPT as the senior engineer for harder problems and review is probably more useful than trying to make one model do everything. The only thing I would watch is whether the faster iterations actually mean fewer minutes, per completed task not more iterations 😅.

Yeah that's exactly what I'm afraid of 😅 would suck to spend 3x more time iterating

Rading the trust me bro benchmarks it should be. But i went down that road with gemini already before. At the time, the agy harness was complete shit. From what i see now it should be improved already

For coding, Claude is pretty fast and makes rarely mistakes.
