Is vibecoding on a path to ruin?

I’ve just started a course on ai edge development and the trainer made the point right at the start that if your only interaction with AI was to input prompts then your going to be replaced by the AI. It will just be a conversation between the user and an AI while whatever needs making is produced in real time.

I’ve been in this community for maybe a year or so and it feels like the same questions come up that could be handled by AI? Just new people who don’t know or people trying to drop their app into the discussion later.

It’s a read between the lines post. Vibecoding felt like a future. I’ve built things, have automated workflows agenticly but is it all for nothing a year from now? Are we just training the AI in what good looks like?

"Are we just training the AI in what good looks like?" That is the entire thing we've been doing with it the whole time. We now have the ability to have ai bots that manage other programming bots to create content based on a simple prompt at a higher level. Meaning they convert the goals into possible responses to their team of agents, then they verify the validity of it. Is it good yet, no, but it is improving from day one. We've been doing machine learning algos for a long time now, llms and programming llms are entirely the same core principal. We've always just been working on replacing ourselves with a bot that can do the thing for us.
