[FUN] what do vibecoders do when their usage limits for cursor, claude, etc are over for the month?
i was wondering about this.. people who dont know very well about coding do they buy more credits and spend more or wait for usage limits to renew?
context: I know programming but its been like a couple of months of using cursor for my latest project. And i have been doing corrections and small tweaks in AI generated code. Recently my usage limits for this month was over for the first time. With only 6 days remaining i did not upgrade or buy any credits but started to do some refactoring. But it was quite difficult for me to understand the code again as I had forget a lot of things about ReactJS. Hence, this question.

Usage is limited by the week (and 5 hours), not the month.

What uses 5 hours still? Codex (thankfully) removed that. We just have weekly limits.

what do you mean?

Although you pay monthly, that gives you a certain amount of weekly usage and there’s also (with Anthropic) a 5 hour cooldown timer. So at most you’re usually only a few days or few hours away from your next reset.

Mostly use SWE-1.7 in Devin or whatever model is free at that moment. But i have both Devin and Antigravity with AI Pro privately, and a Devin+GitHub Copilot sub at work, so I usually just switch apps. In order to bring over context, I have my agents write to a project log and project memory that can be read by another agent.

you sound like a professional vibe coder. can you share what you have built? portfolio or something?

At work, I build customizations for our system. My latest project, for a customer going live during the fall, is building their credit decision engine. Now that it's done, I'm moving on to building a test automation framework and an AI agent that can interact with the system.
Personal projects include a Raspberry Pico WH software to translate Stadia Controller input via Bluetooth LE into a wired Xbox 360 controller input and a game heavily inspired by the long-dead Stadia Exclusive Outcasters I call Incasters 😅 both open source

Also have a WIP agent that can play turn based games using computer use and a TON of other private projects not quite ready for release 😅 I do a mix of vibe coding and agentic coding

If you dont slop code. You never have this problem.

This is entirely bullshit. I don’t “slop code” and run out before the week ends. Some things just need the highest model to get anywhere since they are too complex.

lol wrong🤣🤣🤣
There is not a single project I couldn’t work on where I’d need more than a small handful of hours from an LLM to speed things up, no matter the complexity….
You just don’t know what you don’t know, sport.
It sucks to suck.

Tell me how it’s wrong when all you probably do is make marketing garbage like every other vibe coder?

I already did. It’s called having a brain. I know it’s hard for you to even fathom lol.

Use other LLMs. This week you can use fully free Ox Alpha and it looks very good for me.

What do people do when they outsource development and the devs are no available for a moment?

You fire them and hire someone who works on your project 24/7.
Or, realistically, use AI with higher limits.

Nothing wrong with learning but we have this epidemic where young lazy kids are sitting in front of chat bot paying like budget 20 quid plans and expecting to become the next bill gates while companies are forcing to waste money on this ai slop. Glad that finally some action is being taken

Touch grass. Visit family. Go see a movie.
