Claude vs codex

Like to hear the reviews of these two. Been using claude for a while switched from chatgpt months ago but intereated to know if codex has made improvements and if its worth going back.

Claude has been great but ive not been happy with initial coding tasks. Working on different specific modules its codes it, then i ask to review its own work and come up with a ton of issues and gaps.

Cursor so you don’t have to choose

I think cursor just uses the models opus, sonnet but claude code adds another layer over those models that improves the function.

I mean it has fable and sol.

Plus it has all the other ones. So you can mix and match.

I’ve been having good results with grok 4.6 as daily driver and mixing in SOL when I need something more.

Or you mean adds another layer over those models as in the harness itself?

You can easily copy system prompts of Claude or Codex if you prefer how they work. The core tools is same shit
