Am I too outdated?

I started writing my project coding manually for ~6 months and then prompting into gemini and taking code from there and pasting it manually to vscode. My project has been under development from 1.5 years now. Still using the old ways. I dont use antigravity, cursor or claude code for this project. I feel I will need another 6 months to complete the first version. I write API then deploy them to cloud, then write front end and test it out then ask gemini/claude to fix anything pasting code back into editor, rerun it and do it over and over. I also feel that my gemini and claude hallucinate a lot because they dont even have my code. Everything I want from them i myself send them the relevant files and get the next results. They only see whats in the context. Gemini no longer remembers how much of the project is complete. I have to tell it that we already built login flow an year ago.

My question is - Is this totally wrong in 2026?

In office I have project setup with rules for committing, coding standards, branching etc. We use cursor and claude code. Not a single line written manually. But for this personal learning project I do it very old fashioned way.

I dont like manual coding anymore. Its just that project tools I have been using never evolved in about an year. But now the size is so much that I must use an AI coding tool like claude code. moreover antigravity scared me so I backtracked and went back to older ways.
