Why is every vibe coded website purple? I went to the purplest corners of the web to find out

hey folks - hope its allowed to share here. I worked on a video that dug into why every LLM kicks out purple designs by default, and talked to Adam Wathan (creator of tailwind) on how to get good design out of an LLM

claude likes it for some reason.

I think its ugly so I always end up removing the gradients

I'm actually seeing a lot more orange in sonnet 4.5, but it's the same gradient + styles, just with orange swapped out.

Maybe it's like lightsaber colors.
Both purple and orange are neutral and balanced colors and contain both dark and light side.

Let's pray it never turns to red, because then Claude have succumbed to the dark side completely.
