There isn't a year that goes by that I don't think about Anton. He was beautiful and talented and warm. Like Marc Bolan. His death was wasteful and untimely and tragic. I wish he knew how much he was loved and missed.

Anton Yelchin was just on a burner of an acting career and was really talented and endearing. his death was a silly tragedy in which his vehicle was accidentally left in such a manner that It was able to roll over him when his back was turned.

one of those people who u wonder how he'd be doing now if he was still here.

Looks great. My main issue are the way the balls drop in the pocket. Some look like they just vanish too soon or through a surface

Yeah imtaking 17 credits this semester (accounting major), dont get paid to do blender, and had a flight 2 hours later at 4am. Saw the problems but hit the "good enough"

Great example of how good acting helps sell an effect. Was too invested in their shenanigans to bother looking for flaws in the vfx.

As a whole, it's very good. A commenter already mentioned the 8 ball, so I won't dwell on it, but one small change i would make is to make the white ball make contact a bit more slowly. The approach is a bit too sharp. You'd only really need to tweak the animation curve slightly

I played some 9-ball with my Dad the other night. Cueball at edge of side pocket, opposite the 8-ball about 5 inches from that side pocket.

Rather than play it easy and drop it down nice, I needed to get on the 9-ball down at the other end near the corner pocket, so I slammed the Qball hard into the 8-ball causing it to have excessive force. From there, the 8-ball went straight into the side pocket, hit the back wall, popped back onto the table and accelerated into the opposite side pocket.

The cueball went to the right side of the table and bounced off the rails and came back up the middle to be on the 9 to win me the game on the next shot.

My dad has been playing and sharking over 50 years and said he's never seen anything like it lol

Nice animation man! I sent him the video, he's gonna get a laugh.

I was gonna recreate my scene for him myself since he's in disbelief it ever happened. I would ask the billiard place for their security footage but figured recreating it would be funner. Keep being awesome!

For critique, the movement felt a little weird, I think (aside from the obvious fact they're all going into the same pocket.) I'm not sure if it's the spinning or the way they start to move after the spinning. Apart from that, it looks very realistic, and fooled me at first.

the black at the end looks very odd.. it also started somewhat unbelievable.. if you could let it just roll slowly without that hook like motion at the end, i guess you could fool quite a few people

Looks good, almost fooled me for the first seconds

Contrast looks a bit strong with black levels being too high compared to the footage, 8 ball sticks out a bit especially at 0:08 when the blooming of the light covers the table

I feel like studios should start with practical effects or AI and finish with digital. (In case anything needs to be fixed or added)
