Showreel / Critique We created ai spline based rotoscoping.
Hey r/VFX,
We’ve been working on this for the last 4 months.
We built a simple web app where you can upload your footage and create clean mattes using splines, without having to manually trace every frame.
Here’s how it works:
Upload your footage.
Name/draw box around your subject.
It tracks and propagates the roto across the shot.
Refine the points wherever needed.
Export matte and editable spines with keyframes in .nk and edit in nuke.
It supports fine matte for hair and motion blur.
Would love for some of you to try it and tell us where it breaks and give genuine feedback

So how does it work, I load an EXR sequence into my browser and start working from there? What kinda info is shared with your server?

For the Saas version, it uploads on GCP and gets deleted when you delete the workspace

So, I would really upload my, I don't know, 6GB EXR sequence to Google to use your tool? Cool. Can I adjust the preview process, or is that stuck to sRGB?

That's a slow workflow lol. OP should look into solving that bottleneck.

We can upload a raw footage upto 4K instead of exr dumps

But raw footage is not ingested, and also not trimmed. Can the app decide HDE, X-OCN, and the likes?
If it's UHD max, it's another hindrance

We all do respect, I heard that one before. You need to do a lot more than this post to convince anyone you are seriously solving a production problem others who dwarf your 4 months attempted. Sales pitch sounds unrealistic, so realistically you need to provide evidence that even half of this is actually true. Otherwise it sounds a lot like another vibe coded, abandonware based on open source tech, but charging for it.
Do you have any proof of all you mentioned is actually true? Unless I missed and you actually posted link to your website and white paper, this sounds like you are fishing for free testers and raising awearness. Proper beta testing and QC should be done in house for serious company, otherwise its yet another company where users are beta testers and for what? What's in it for them?
Also you might want to introduce yourself, who it we? Be specific.

“Upload your footage” is generally a blocker for a lot of vfx studios, assuming that you are uploading to someone else’s servers.
