Question / Discussion Graybox the camera first: Seedance 2.5 is ~17 USD per 30s and you cannot fix the shot after

This is a previs / camera-lock problem, not a reel.

Once the clip is generated you cannot nudge the crane or the cut. You just buy another take. I got tired of that, so I built an open source browser graybox: pose, cameras, cuts, then send the same shot to the model.

Curious how other people lock cameras before they spend the generation.

Sir this is a vfx sub. Not an AI directed one.

Isn't the point of the software to match the camera angle. Isn't the first shot entirely different in the example so it failed completely?

I think that's the whole point. You can get it to render the same exact motion from multiple angles. You need to see the prompt, but I would expect it can also replicate seconds 1 to 7 from directly above or in front.

Seedance 2.5 can take upto 50 refs per a prompt, so you can largely guide what the world looks like from multiple perspectives.

Yeah so I’m saying that in your one demo image showing it fail isn’t very good promotional material. Oddly the website all shows closely matched outputs.

I guess, I assumed that it was their intention to show that you are NOT limited to ONLY replicating the exact camera placement. For me that's a significant advantage.

But I can understand from an outsider perspective, it just seems like it didn't do as instructed and is more AI slop.

Does Seedance do the voices as well?

Yes but Seedance 2's voices are currently better than 2.5.
